I, of the Universe

A poem on Zen awakening.

Eye to eye

The Buddha and I

Between opposing mirrors

Reflect over horizons.

This moment is none other

The same view

Eye to eye

Across spacetime.

Our breath tracing

A bird on a wave

A bow to a string

A bell to be struck

Our minds holding now.

As one eye we see

Body and mind

We are each other's

Loving company.
